Performance Opportunities
Community Engagement
Bringing classical music to communities that might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it is a special part of our Summer Program. Students share pieces they have been working on in a rewarding performance setting, often performing in senior communities and other welcoming spaces beyond the traditional concert hall.
Public Recitals
Students will also participate in recitals open to the public, where family and friends are warmly encouraged to attend. A light reception will follow each recital, providing time for guests to mingle and celebrate together. These concerts will take place on the final Saturday of each session, marking the culmination of two (or more!) weeks of dedicated work and musical growth by all students.
Performance Class
Performance classes provide a more casual and supportive setting than the final public recital. Held frequently throughout the program and led by different faculty members, these classes give students valuable opportunities to practice performing, build confidence on stage, and develop the charisma needed for successful performances. Students also receive live feedback from faculty members who are seasoned performers and experienced in competitions and concertizing.
Performance Opportunities with Guest Artists and Faculty
New for the Summer Intensive Program this year: select students will have the rare opportunity to perform alongside visiting guest artists and distinguished faculty members. In 2026, our exceptional faculty will present a limited series of professional chamber music concerts, featuring top-selected students from the Summer Programs performing side by side with seasoned artists.
These special performances will take place on Saturday evenings, with only four concerts presented this summer. For young musicians, the chance to share the stage with professional performers in a formal concert setting is an extraordinary and inspiring experience; and one that offers invaluable musical growth and a glimpse into the world of professional chamber music.
