Adult Piano Academy

  • About the Program

The Adult Piano Academy at Fried Music is a classical piano program designed for adult learners seeking a structured, motivating complement to private lessons. Building on the success of our Adult Cello Academy, the program combines expert coaching, duet-based learning, and regular performance opportunities within a supportive community.

Students work in piano duets/duos, developing ensemble skills, listening, and collaboration while maintaining full technical independence. Whether returning to piano or advancing classical studies, students follow a clear, supportive pathway that integrates focused coaching, ensemble work, and performance.

Sessions are held in small cohorts of two students, each at their own grand piano. Each duo is assigned two coaches for the semester, who rotate leading designated coachings.

This six-month program emphasizes musicianship, accountability, and community, culminating in a final recital in a professional and encouraging setting.
